Privacy policy

Last updated

Health-adjacent searches deserve a short, honest privacy policy. Here is ours.

The short version

  • There are no accounts, logins, or profiles on this site.
  • The ZIP code you type is matched to a city page inside your own browser. It is never sent to us and never stored.
  • We do not sell or share personal information, and never have.
  • We are not a healthcare provider, so we do not hold medical records. What you read here is not added to any health file.

What we collect

Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to handle it.
ZIP code searches
Handled locally in your browser to pick the right city page. No transmission to us, no storage, no logging.
Standard server logs
Our hosting provider records ordinary technical request data — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user-agent — as part of serving and protecting the site. We use it for security and troubleshooting, not to build a profile of you.
Cookies and trackers
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first and consent obtained where the law requires it.

Health-related searches

Looking up a skin condition is sensitive by nature, which is why the search on this site is built to keep that interest on your device. We do not build health-interest audiences, we do not pass your activity to advertising networks, and we do not hand your details to the practices we list. When you contact a provider, you do it yourself — we are not in the middle of it.

One thing outside our control: your browsing history lives on your own device and, if you use a shared or work computer, is visible to whoever else uses it or administers it. A private window is the fix for that, not a privacy policy.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to service providers who operate the site on our behalf (hosting, email) under confidentiality obligations, or where we are legally required to.

Links to other sites

Provider listings link out to practice websites and phone numbers. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control and aren’t responsible for — read theirs before submitting anything to them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the CCPA/CPRA in California and the GDPR in the UK and EEA — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal information about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Since the only personal information we typically hold is email you chose to send us, most requests are quick to honor.

To exercise a right, email hello@skintagsgone.com with the subject “Privacy”. We won’t discriminate against you for asking.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where that’s the local threshold). If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — new analytics, a newsletter, anything embedded from a third party — we will update this page and its date before the change goes live. The “last updated” date at the top is authoritative.
